Embryo Mix-Up at the Fertility Clinic

♫, ♩ Now warning lights are flashing down at Quality Control.
Somebody threw a spanner (that’s a wrench), he threw it in the hole…
♫, ♩

And the baby’s the first to know.

It was just a little mix-up. Those stickers always fall off. The Gateway Pundit reports Florida Couple Identifies Biological Parents of Their ‘Non-Caucasian’ Baby After Horrific IVF Embryo Mix-Up at Closing Clinic.
Tiffany Score and Steven Mills, both Caucasian, underwent IVF at the Fertility Center of Orlando in Longwood, Florida, in 2020. They created and stored three viable embryos.
So far, so good. There IS something different about that year 2020 though… economies got purposefully trashed, and we’ve seen a lot more incompetence since…
In April of last year, one embryo was implanted in Score’s uterus.

On December 11, she gave birth to a healthy baby girl, whom they named Shea.
I wonder why they waited so long - that uncannily reminds me of the White couple in the intro to Idiocracy, waiting for the market to improve. Then, things took a turn for the worse.
Immediately, the couple noticed Shea displayed the physical appearance of a racially non-Caucasian child.

Genetic testing later confirmed that Shea has zero biological connection to Score or Mills.
Ya’ think?? I hope that testing didn’t cost too much. From the picture, it looks like the baby was the first one to figure it out, as soon as she opened her eyes. “This is not my beautiful house. These are not my beautiful parents.” At some point, the parents might have also wondered, with those same David Byrne lyrics (not out loud, that’d be wrong, see?) “This is not our beautiful offspring. How did she get here?”
DNA results showed she is 100% South Asian Indian, according to a report from NBC News.

On Wednesday, the couple announced through their attorneys that genetic testing has now definitively identified Shea’s biological parents, a South Asian an Indian couple whose identities they are keeping confidential out of respect for their privacy.
FIFT. And here, I’d thought those dots were genetic. At least, as much as you pay for two days in the maternity ward, you’d think red dot application would be gratis, along with the usual striped infant outfit.
“The results of testing delivered to us today confirm that our baby’s genetic parents have been identified… This ends one chapter in our heartbreaking journey, but it raises new issues that will have to be resolved. In addition, questions about the disposition of our own embryos are still unanswered and are even more unlikely to ever be answered.”
That’s especially the case now that this clinic is closing* down, due to their not wanting to pay out in a lawsuit.
Only one thing is as absolutely certain today as it was on the day our daughter was born — we will love and will be this child’s parents forever.”

Their attorney, Jack Scarola, added that the couple has an “intensely strong emotional bond” with Shea and plans to raise her as their own while acknowledging she “should legally and morally be united with her genetic parents” if they are fit, able, and willing.
I don’t doubt that you can get attached. I’m guessing that’s mostly for the mother, as childbirth is hell for that reason. However, now that they are so very very attached, with intensely strong emotional bonds, why would they want this Indian baby to be (re-?)united with her genetic parents? This White couple already laid a lot of money down (that they ain’t getting back), plus intensely strong emotional bonds.

This White couple’s life got ruined by incompetence - the word “heartbreaking” was bandied about - but they’d probably be loath to put it that way, “ruined”. Yet they are suing. “What are the damages?” is what a civil defense lawyer might ask. Well, uhhh, it’s not like race is a thing, but it’s just, I dunno, we wanted, like, our own baby, because genetics and White like us.

Besides the “Florida Man”** (yes, and woman, and baby) aspect of this story - well, it’s not like that at all, it’s tragic for them - one does wonder if there could be ways to see this problem before it emerges. Can one detect racial features in ultrasounds, maybe 6 months along? Better yet, can one safely extract some DNA much earlier on? If so, then what? Peak Stupidity has a lot of questions, but no answers on that…

… besides, for this particular couple, if you are committed, as most decent couples are, for this little one’s future, I’d suggest perhaps investing now… in a 40 room hotel by the Interstate, or a couple of 7-11s. It’s never too early. That was kind of low, so I do wish the best for them. Perhaps the actual parents can be traced down.

* Note that same grammatical stupidity in the headline as we pointed out some posts ago. Embryo Mix-Up at Closing Clinic. No, silly (Cassandra MacDonald), this didn’t happen while the clinic was closing! The clinic is closing next month. When and where this happened, the embryo was obviously at an OPEN clinic!

** … and, I wonder of what race was the Florida man who screwed up this couple’s life by not being meticulous with the “chain of custody” of the vials that contain life itself.

PS: Mr. Hail, I’d thought I had set things straight with what’s stupid about Physicist Dave’s view on demographic change by the end of thread 22 there. Then, he wrote in some more, Almost Missouri made some great replies, and I was going to write back too, until Ron Unz started thread 23 quite a bit early. (Not in # of posts, but in terms of interval in days. It had been in the 2-3 week range before. A123 wrote a comment in “Bugs & Suggestions”, and Mr. Unz dutifully took care of it again.

Thanks for your info on the large change in Cal Tech student demographics and also that, yes, light-hearted manifesto from Cole Allen.

PS: Hello, Mr. Smith, and sorry for a very late return to this post.

“ (White baby because stuff White people like or black baby because that niglet already stole a bike.)” I did have that 2nd thing in the back of my mind.

Yes, California is the canary in the coal mine, and SafeNow reports from there. It’s a big change since, though everything new (socially?) seemed to come out of California, that didn’t seem to be a bad thing long ago. Even 30 years ago, it was still a place people would aspire to move to.

It’s such a beautiful place - that’s what makes what happened there a real shame. I know there are nice places in, say, Minnesota, but nothing like California and scenery-wise, climate-wise. I was going to imagine a trade-off, but Minnesota has gone down-hill people-wise enough that it’s not so far behind California.

Well, shit. I hadn't thought of that. But yeah. Makes sense.
It's wild how often evil masquerades as incompetence.

Is this an example of mere ineptitude resulting in a mix up at the lab? Or... Is this an example of the ol' switcheroo being used to purposely replace one White baby with a biological street shitter?

I suppose we will never know.

Mr. SafeNow is like a canary in the coal mine.
Living on the edge of the coming dystopia.

I fear White empathy, while wonderful when dealing with other White people (and an essential ingredient for a high trust society), has been weaponized and used against us by our more aggressive, less kind, less empathetic and less honest adversaries. Our natural tendency toward kindness, empathy, honesty and generosity has left us at a disadvantage when dealing with blacks, jews and •indians. They view our kindness and honesty as weaknesses to be exploited and most of us are ill equipped to deal with their vindictiveness.

I hope Mr. SafeNow is doing well and I hope he chimes in soon.

I hope you gentlemen have a wonderful day/evening.

Happy Saturday! ☮️

PS: While trying to find any newer comments by SafeNow, well, you may have seen this one too, Adam, under a Ted Rall column, of all people. The comment was about Mr. Rall’s lack of attention to mass immigration’s deleterious effect on healthcare. (Again, he lives in California.) SafeNow’s 2nd paragraph.

“I recently spent 20 hours keeping someone company in a teaching-hospital ER waiting room. The guy checking people in was having a conversation with a patient that I overheard through the translator: “What’s your REAL name? We think we know who you are, based on the health history, and we can treat you better if you will please tell us who you actually are, so we can figure-out your proper treatment. This is your third emergency Medi-Cal application. Let’s try to consolidate all of the medical and public-assistance histories that you have.” Meanwhile, my friend and I are sitting on chairs against the wall, senior citizens waiting for 20 hours. Welcome to how it is in California. This will metastasize to the other states. Sorry.”

PS: Alarmist, I also wonder if DNA could be taken from an embryo right before (re-?) implantation. (I honestly don’t know exactly how this works.) It’s possible that the embryos are too small and/or fragile to take sample from. That seems like it would be a good step to take though, for Q/A, before things go too far.

BTW, I don’t like the term “South Asian”, but I suppose if you’re trying to cover Indian, The Country Formerly Known As Ceylon, The Country Formerly Known As Burma, The Country Formerly Known As East Pakistan, too, it does help. OK, what IS the deal with all of these countries but one having changed their names? Do their governments hold stock in the mapmaking sector?

PS: That’s right, Adam, I had a post about that particular article too. There ought to be an “Incompetence” topic key here, but… our staff is too incompetent. ;-}

Or, as Alarmist said, this could be part of something more devious. Regarding your doctored-up ultrasound, was that supposed to be a White fetus, cause bicycles are “stuff White people like”? Or, did I miss a different joke?

PS: OK, yep, I just saw those same 2. Since the UR software doesn’t work quite as well as it used to, I agree with you that there may have been a few more. (Indeed, I think by setting up something different for the iSteve Community threads, the minor bugs or discrepancies are seen there.

Anyway, I hope we hear back from SafeNow soon. Yes, early 2 months ago.

PS

They can always get Libtard sympathy by saying they adopted a Sri Lankan/Indian orphan. But one cannot help but wonder if this is a new path in the war to replace Western population.

I’m reminded of the scene in Blazing Saddles when Mel Brooks playing the Indian Chief tells the black settlers to keep moving, telling his fellow Indian, “Did you see that, they’re blacker than us?” (or something like that)
