P.J. O’Rourke wrote Parliament of Whores 35 years ago. I thought he was kinda sorta joking, in a way. Now, nah.
After our aborted attempt at poetry in yesterday’s 2nd post, we thought we’d try. Our hand again today.
There are discharge petitions, oh, all that’s a bore,If Peak Stupidity does not get at least nominated for a Nobel prize, we WILL attack some foreign country with MOAR leaflets.
while one traitor, two traitors, they creak open the door.
They hate us, it’s evil, and we ARE keeping score.
Five traitors, now six, so, they’ve found one more whore.
One third million Haitians, make the White man more poor,
whatever it takes, destroy the societal core.
Seven traitors through nine, they just needed four more.
Number ten has been found, one more vote, one more whore.
Now this odious bill, from the House it will soar
on down to the depths of the full Senate floor.
Have hope, we all say, no more Boxer nor Gore.
How in the Senate will they find one more whore?
No matter, we’re told, the bill’d still be tore
up by veto by that Orangish man they abhor.
Legislative, judicial, our Founders are sore
from spinning in caskets, what WAS all that for?
At this point this poem, though, is stuck in a rut,
who else destroyeth us, what other cheap slut?

I'm not sure how to get these kinds of stats out there into the consciousness, mostly because every time I look it up I get conflicting numbers. (Are there 30 million or 84 million Americans with sleep apnea? Apparently, it's something like that.) In any case, it is a damning indictment for universal suffrage democracy.
Mostly I'm just checking in to say hi and wish everyone a happy weekend.

PS: Alarmist, Mr. Hail came on there like a bat out of hell, well out of a hiatus, with all kinds of interesting stuff. Without looking, that’s just been over the last week or two. Me, well, sure, it’s a hobby, and I’ve got a beef with a few people.
I said something about the cheerleaders thought, that just in comparison, man the campus near here has so many hotties, it’s not safe driving on certain streets, for my neck if nothing else. But, the 6 of them there are very decent - I don’t know if you read the comments about the “hosts” and the sportsball business, though. That’s been discussed before by commenters on TUR - perhaps on Mr. Kersey’s site. That’s another story.

Hail to Mr. Hail for the plug.I’ve never looked at the iSteve threads til now, so it is interesting to see how prolific both he and you, Mr. Mod, have been on those pages. I didn’t see anything since the Malkin post on Mr. Hail’s pages, but I should have fathomed he was channeling his information throughput somewhere when I saw that last few comments of his in your pages.
So I wander over to the iSteve thread and get to comment 3, the Ole Miss Cheerleaders, and I read the comment from Corpse Tooth, saying the gals don’t look all that special … I think he compared to made-up female versions of Jack Lalane. So I look again and wonder why he doesn’t find a collection of nice-smiling next-door looking girls with no noticeable tats, no excessive hardware piercing installations, no duck lips or bubble-butts appealing. Probably marriage-minded young ladies who have desires to pop out a few babies to do there part to keep the population in balance. What is wrong with that guy? He must watch too much porn.

I really liked your story about old-days (well, last century IS now) NYC in your Lady MacBeth post:
True story: I was on the cross-town M57 bus in Manhattan in the 1990s, and as the bus passed a stop, a frantic woman pulled the “request stop” cord a bit too late, shouting “Out! Out! Damn, Stop!” You’d be surprised how many anecdotes like this one experiences in NYC. One day, again on the M57, a young lady carrying a cello boarded and asked the driver, “How do I get to Carnegie Hall?” At least ten of us dead-panned, “Practice, practice, practice.”

I was thinking that the meter of this fit Dire Straits’ “Industrial Disease” pretty well. I had that song in my head for a while, as I’d embedded it into one of the UR threads.
Well after the fact, early/mid 1980s, I was into the old music of Crosby, Stills, and Nash, and sometimes Young. (Not sure why they didn’t just pick a band name like everyone else.) I didn’t like “Ohio” too much either, but I will say, the left used good music to their advantage during that time.
Yes, considering the Springfield story about the dogs (don’t forget the cats!), and my 3 posts about cuck Governor Mike DeWine, that would be fitting. I might do that. If you’ve got anything, feel free to paste in in here.
