It's been a busy couple of days, and the blogweek is over. I really wanted to write about Trump v MTG, but it's just as well I didn't until today's recent development regarding her resignation from the House o' Representin'. (Effective Jan 5th) Today won't be the day to write it either though. There'll be plenty more stupidity to write about next week, but with it being a particularly busy Thanksgiving week, I'm not sure I'll get to more than a couple or three.
We're not giving up, and Peak Stupidity begs Marjorie Taylor Greene not to give up on America either.
This is an oldie from the end of the Alternative Rock era, late in 1998 by The New Radicals. I have heard nothing else from the band. I see from youtube that the band played this song for Dark Brandon and the Kameltoe at the '21 inauguration. Whatever. I'm not letting the ctrl-left steal the music, no matter how stupid the band is about it.
For you, MTG. Don't give up, you got the music in you.

PS: I'm glad to see you're back in the on-line commenting world in general, Mr. Hail. MTG could be an intern here any time she wants. Seriously though, I would like to meet her sometime. I just missed getting to say hello at the ATL Hartsfield airport once.

IDEA --------- If Mrs MTG is in need of something to do in 2026, ask around to see if the dispatch some of spare personnel of the Institute for the Study and Reversal of Peak stupidity might be done, to approach her and ask her to be a PS guest-columnist.
(If PS Institute funds are lacking to get this done, I recommend cutting the subsidy going for the study Corvinus as a Stupidity specimen; enough data has been collected on that!)

PS: I'm pretty darned stunned myself, Mr. Hail. That's probably because I don't pay attention to Trump's antics but just note the positive things being done on Job 1.

We await your views on the latest turn in the Trump Show. He turned against, and declared public enemy, PS-favorite MTG and induced her resignation.
The media has been stunned at the development, especially the resignation. I count myself a lot less stunned.
The outlines of exactly this kind of thing were foreseeable, predictable, in line with my criticisms of Trump as a highly flawed figure without loyalty to principle, completely willing to turn on his best supporters when it seems expedient. This is dishonorable behavior. It also the Trump Style we've been able to see for a long time.
Within about 24 hours of terminating MTG, he had another Trump-style chummy, smiley meeting with Mamdani, the Muslim mayor-elect of New York declaring his support for Mamdani.

The resignation calls to mind the Martin Amis description of Salman Rushdie: “Like a falcon peering through venetian blinds.” The sharp, intelligent vision, a predator by nature…but alas, now concealed. I watched MTG’s resignation announcement. The part where she listed the roster of powerful enemies she was battling was sobering; I am sympathetic. But on balance I am with Mr. Moderator…don’t give up.

PS: Good meme from Miss Barnhardt, Alarmist. Another factor is that, due to his ego, Trump will not accept even the slightest disagreement on anything from whom he thinks are his underlings or something. That is, even if, such as in this case, she is THE most MAGA of all in the Congress (or WAS).
The guy thinks everyone should be exactly on board as if MAGA Congressmen were on the board of his real estate company. I appreciate his acting like a King sometimes to best get things done, while the UniParty sucks its thumbs. However, treating MTG like this is counterproductive and stupid.
I don't know if there will be a Trumpocalypse. I hope he continues -or Miller/Homan/et al continue - to get things done on Job 1.
