New York City's been full of Socialist money-grabbers, their brains in tatters, for half a century. That's nothing new. What's new again this century, with history rhyming from a century ago, is that it's full of foreigners again, this time even stranger, and to the tune of 40% of the population of the city being foreign born.
You got rats on the West side, bedbugs uptown...
This week though, we can see that this is only part of NYC's problems. Wit the D-primary election of the pro-BLT-G++ gay-looking* Moslem "newcomer" Zohran Mamdani, NYC has gone full Commie.
Oh, sure, he says he's a Socialist, but that's nothing but a gateway ideology. You start with a little taxpayer-funded coke, some barbiturates, qualuudes ("a bottle of reds, a bottle of whites, whatever kind of mood you're in tonight... oh, oh, oh, oh, oh..." and next thing you know you're lying face down in an alley, having had the crap beaten out of you by a rival faction...oh, and plus the heroin.
Free shit of all sorts, artificial rent control, MOAR programs, it's the usual. The foreign Moslem** influence is a twist. First of all, the Commies only want the genderbending, gaiety, feminism, etc. for the causes of destruction - later these people will end up in the same ditches as everyone else. Then too, Islam and all the left stuff don't play well together. Islam and Communism don't either, as Communism cannot abide a competing religion. I'll be a scene, man, a regular circular firing squad, as termed by Steve Sailer, though much less virtual than those he describes.
Maybe Rock, Scissors, Paper better describes it, with real rocks, scissors, and I never did getthe paper beating scissors aspect. (Paper wraps scissors, but so what?)
Apparenlty, Communism is cool again - what'd I tell ya', 7 1/2 years ago? NYC is a far cry from the Seinfeld days of only 3 decades ago, when even Jewish New Yorkers made fun of Communism and Communists. These New Yorkers today, apparently the White lefties, per polling, have forgotten all about this evil and don't even hide their stupidity on the subject anymore.
This POS Mamdani too, he's not hiding anything. He admits he wants Globalist Intifada, so that'd be Globalism mixed with Communist agitation with a bit of Islamic stupidity mixed in. What could possibly go wrong? New York's been shatterred, splattered, smothered, and covered, already by years of Totalitarian rule (thinking Bloomberg here) but more damage from the corrupt ctrl-left DeBlassio. More importantly, the Population Replacement Programme has long used NYC as a launch site for their weapons of huddled mass destruction.
Now, the local political scene has some strange bedfellows crawling under the sheets, as typically incompetent and corrupt Black! Mayor Adams has become the guy to support due to the way the votes are spread out among the candidates left (well, they're all left) in the race. It's amusing to me to see this current Cuomo (how many of these guys are there in New York?) having been ousted by someone further to his left. Then, also amusingly, per GateWay Pundit, Jewish Organizations Urge Mass Evacuation from NYC After Radical Muslim Socialist Zohran Mamdani Wins Democrat Mayoral Primary. Haha! Evacuate! I guess voting Republican is unthinkable and much more difficult than packing all one's stuff and moving to Palm Beach.

As far as bugging out goes, it's not just Jewish residents, but big Finance people of all stripes - I know there's quite a bit of overlap - who will not thrive in their Big Finance world under a Communist Loon. They deserve all this too. Big Biz hasn't been Conservative politically in a long time. Beware, Florida, LOCKDOWNers incoming! Sorry, though, Dixie and Suwanee Counties are full! You'd hate the mosquitoes, and there are no beaches, you can't get good bagels, and the government schools don't have polo. You don't want to move there, believe me.

Billy Joel wrote that in 1975, so the lyrics were to be about 42 years into the future, but now it's right at 50. He very well may be right... he may be crazy.... I think "right" - give it less than another decade. I can see picking up the Yankees, but I'm not sure why the Bronx ought to stay. Sinking A.O. out at C - not a bad idea at all. We'll likely see People dressed in plastic bags, directing traffic, some kind of fashion, shattered, shattered... you want to see shattered, my Yankee friends, see your city under Communism. Indeed you'd better move to Miami or your brain may well be battered, splattered all over Manhattan.... It's just what they do.

If we're unsuccessful on squashing Communism on this beachhead in NYC, my question is, who will build the wall this time? The Commies will want to wall people in as we work to keep them out, kind of a combination of Berlin and Cuba. Maybe there could be a cooperative effort, during a detente of sorts... or, for Manhattan, we could blow the bridges, as Billy Joel sang about.
We will have to require visas for entry into the US, if we even have diplomatic relations. An old guy in Kentucky 40 years ago asked my Dad if Kentucky even had diplomatic relations with New York. Ha!
Anyway, Peak Stupidity readers in the New York area, with what's left of the weekend, it may be prudent to stock up on popcorn by the 55 G drum, as pretty soon you may need ration cards.
* I mean, I saw a picture of him wearing a barista smock over his bare chest, looking like one of the Village people... I don't know which village, either the East Village or Greenwich Village... I don't spend a lot of time there.
** There is a law out there passed in the 1950s that says this new immigrant can be arrest for promoting Communism. That won't happen.

PS: Yes, I read that about J. Derbyshire in TUR comments, Alarmist. I hope he's doing OK, health-wise. I did read his writing about now he hit 80 years old at 1,000 Radio Derb podcasts and some other round number at the same time. Now, he's not into "numerism" as one might guess his Chinese wife might be, but I guess something struck him about all that.
I usually read, not listen, to Radio Derb and any other podcasts with transcripts, but I can go to Z-man*'s blog and listen to that last one.

PS: I suspect that much of the support for Zohran comes from his support of the Palestinians, and his condemnations of Israel. His opposition by the jews is for the same reasons.
