However, I realized only later that she and Instapundit himself are of the NeoCon ilk.

When things like this happen, what happens is average people feel out which side "my guys" signal is the right one, and they just go with that. This is a lot more true than ever in the past 10 years.

Even so, only 53% of Republicans say the Iran Bombing will make Iran "less of a threat to the U.S"; only 51% of Republicans trust Trump "a great deal to make the right decisions on (Forever Wars) against Iran."

These underwhelming numbers are only ca. 24-36 hours after Blumpf's mid-2025 Mission-Accomplished moment. At such times we expect a Forever-War pusher, of any race, creed, color, or party, to get maximum sympathy from the low-info general public. He obviously has considerable opposition from his own base, although they lack the ability to act in any way and most default to a passive Siding With My Team thing.
