Trump was heavily involved in the question of the legality of Obama's being President. No doubt the natural-born citizen clause and the more recent records makes it more obvious with Kamala. Perhaps he knows it will go nowhere, and understands how the press will somehow make him look bad for bringing it up.

It's not a country of mostly honest White men anymore, deciding, "well, the law is the law, so clearly she must be dropped from the ballots". (Or, I dunno, were she to win, the (hopefully) legal-for-office VP would immediately take over.)

This is a lawless place at the top levels now. People don't even care if you bring up something very clearly wrong like this. That is, not unless it works for the Regime. Then, the "journalists" will go over and over the specific clause as newfound Constitutional scholars.

PS: Mr. Hail, I didn't miss your reply about Steve Sailer's new home. I've read through some of the threads. Maybe it's only because he hasn't bailed on TUR yet (perhaps a contract thing, it's "don't quit your day job...", or he wants to get more of those good commenters over to his, but the the discussion on substack doesn't work as well. (You explained the difference.)

To me also, after having read TUR threads for so long, I miss Ronnie's way of doing things. I've written this before a few times already, but I think his way is the very best.

Former President Donald Trump reportedly has used a slur often targeted at women to describe Vice President Kamala Harris during at least two private conversations. His campaign denies it.

The New York Times cited two people who, on different occasions, heard Trump call Harris a “b——.” The people were granted anonymity to describe private discussions.

What is this conceit of "granted anonymity"? 'Granted,' by whom? Are Passive-sentence weasel-wording alert. If they are anonymous (or "granted" anonymity by some unknown and unseen authority), how can anyone evaluate the claims? Are the two people who claim to have heard this "intelligence community members"?

I have made some regular comments on the Steve Sailer Substack, but the discussions usually don't go very far. His usual commentariat has mostly not transferred-over from Unz. His huge number of nominal 'followers' on Twitter also don't comment in any number. There is much to say for the "silo'ing" effect of any particular "platform."

Another thing about Substack I've noticed is, most people seem to interact with it in much the same way as they do with Twitter and Facebook and other places, which is via a "Feed." When some new Sailer post comes up, it will get into his Substack-followers "feeds" and some will click-through. But even a two-day old post will become as as dead as a sailboat out on the water without a sail. In the older model, people actually had to proactively click onto sites they "followed" to see what was going on, and some people in this older model of blog-reading would "catch up" on posts from the previous few days or a week, or even more.

PS: Good morning, Mr.Hail. I'm sorry I can't help a bit with this question. I noticed, following your link on your site, you haven't been commenting on the Steve Sailer Unz Review blog in over a month. I saw before you'd been writing in on his substack site. It's been a week since I looked at that.

I say all this to ask if you have brought up this Olympic diving question to Mr. Sailer on his blog. This sort of thing is right in his wheelhouse.

As for me, I haven't watched a bit of the Olympics, but, as you all know, no TV. I've seen it on at the gym, if that helps. ;-}

Insights, anyone reading this, into why PRC-China has so completely monopolized elite diving.

China takes gold in every competition now. Something like 48 of the most-recent 50 world-championships, they have gotten gold.

PRC-China has been the leading diving nation in medal-taking since at least 1988. After Greg Louginis retired following his AIDS diagnosis in 1988, there was no stopping the Chinese. Their complete monopolization of the ten diving events helps goose up their gold-medal count. With one day left, they have one more gold-medal than the USA, but the USA has a few dozen more medals overall (silvers and bronzes).
