But I still have some questions. (Like...) How did they get the "results" so quickly? (Seriously) They are telling us (or lying to us, which is totally not surprising as pretty much everything they ever say is a lie) that they "determined his identity" with DNA in about an hour. I do not think this is possible with current technology. (And yes, maybe I am wrong about the current state of this technology.)

PS: That David Frum is a real POS. People like that are not stupid, which means they are evil liars. That's interesting about the betting markets and this strange new, well, not respect, but just hope for cash gains, for JoeMentia. If this Trump assassination attempt was a set-up, is it part of a big plan of distraction? I think that would require too much of an assumption that those planning it are THAT smart.

Personally, I think the Deep State is fine with JoeMentia. Polls notwithstanding, I think a Kamala, as ridiculous a person as she is, Newsom, or whomever new, would get the D-squad more excited to some vote. Also, the cheating that goes on could be explained a little bit better, without comparisons to previous election results available. (i.e., why or HOW, would Bai Dien have gotten those millions of votes, more than any D-candidate ever (or something), and more than the Hildabeast got - also against Trump - when nobody was excited about him, and he campaigned from his basement?)

Whomever it is, the Deep State could handle him. They'd probably rather it be the senile old man they've already had to deal with.

PS: Mr. Kief: I think Mr. Hail and others explained pretty well, but using that term "bullseye" sure has connotations of shooting, the bullseye being the center of a target (darts too, but nobody has tried an assassination using darts yet.)*

That said, yes, Sarah Palin in '08 had that map with bullseyes (with gun site crosshairs, I assume) to represent Congressional districts, States(?) that should be "targeted" (another such term) during elections. Well, that's just a very common metaphor, but then the Lyin' Press got (or pretended to be) outraged that she was inciting violence. The woman politician in Arizona got shot, and "well, see?!"

I suppose this Bai Dien remark, and then Conservatives' bringing of this up is similar. OTOH, Bai Dien does come across as one angry mofo who does want to punch people out and (maybe) kill them.)

For Adam Smith about the DNA. I'm leaning toward no weirdness there - they likely DO have DNA samples on everyone, and, no, I don't like this at all either. There is no privacy now.

Old Soldier, I had no idea that the leftism, anti-gun rhetoric and all that was big after the JFK assassination. I appreciate your input from your having been around at the time. I have read how the event was used to paint Texans as dumb rednecks or something - maybe I read this in a Ron Unz "American Pravda" article even. (He's pretty good on some of those.)

PS: I've seen the video from the guy with the fake/fun Trump hair hat. People don't always have good senses of time, but he said it was a minute or two (not seconds) during which he and others were seeing Crook the roof and trying to get cops to do something. So, I can't get it straight how much time Crook had to set up.

Whether it was incompetence or purposeful, Crook wasn't seen by the SS for a while. He did have to crest the roof quickly and just start shooting then, before they got him. So, yeah, there would not be much time to get situated comfortably and stable for the shot.

BTW, all it'd have taken was one SS guy to even glimpse him, and instead of wheeling around to shoot Crook, could he not have yelled into his mic, "get down!" or "get Trump down", or whatever phrase they should have been trained to use?

PS: Alarmist, about the marksmanship: I'm not saying I'm any kind of marksman, or even "decent shot". From the shooting we've been doing lately outdoors, I can extrapolate* that I'd be lucky to hit an 8 1/2 x 11" sheet of paper at the 130 yards that Mr. Crook shot from. Oh, and we hade all the time in the world

However, from what I've read from those giving the standard requirements for Marines and whomever else, this is no hard shot. OTOH, the good timing for Mr. Trump (hence, bad for the would-be assassin) in his turning his head right then is something that even a good marksman could be foiled by. Would a good sniper take a bit more time to wait until Trump is more steady?

This guy didn't have much time, though, especially for his further shots. I think Trump had already gotten down by his 2nd series of 4 or so. It was all over for Crook by then...

The anti-Kamala fallout from the Trump shooting, which I noticed so early on (timestamped at SteveSailer.net; "powered" by Substack, as some like to say), got more confirmation through reporting by the big news-politics outlets and again through the betting-markets. The news-reporting of course will influence the betting-markets, but it seems the markets 'called' it first. (The wisdom of those with money on the line.)

In PredictIt's "Who will win the D-team's nomination" market, Biden is now 3x and nearly touching 4x above Kamala, whereas before the shooting they were near even. Between July 4 and the Trump shooting of July 13, Kamala was ahead of Biden in the D-team nomination market about half the time.

Trump has edged up a bit more and broken the 60%-threshold for the first time in recent months (or possibly ever). Biden, 24%; Kamala, down to less than 10%; Other, 5%.

They say that Crooks graduated High School in 2022. So this video must have been filmed before his graduation. Maybe he is 17 or 18 in the video.(?) I guess it is possible they filmed it a couple years before they released it, when he was perhaps 16 or 17. I don't know that it means anything to have a few seconds of cameo in a Blackrock commercial staring your math teacher. Seems like an awfully difficult way to recruit and groom an MK-Ultra style would be assassin. (But what do I know?)

PS: I've not read up much more than since last night and at the comments here. Upon reading about this Thomas Crooks, I've got some questions:

How did he get on the roof? Did Crooks do some planning ahead? Had he checked out the site prior? (I'm not sure how much notice average people have of what the set-up will be.) Or, did this guy just come out with his rifle and get lucky to find a site?

We will be told by some people that "Yeah, he was just a loner, a loser, and a dumbass. The cops didn't heed anyone's warnings (for a couple of minutes!) that a guy with a rifle was on that roof because the cops are just your average dumbass cops.*

Now, the guy can't talk about it. This really makes one wonder.

The shooter has been named as THOMAS CROOKS, age 20. White.

A graduate of a local western-Pennsylvania high-school in June 2022. Some local booster group awarded him a "National Math & Science Initiative Star Award" at the end of his senior year. It came with a $500 prize; about fifteen others also received the prize.

Someone found Thomas Crooks' high-school graduation video. The video of him walking up to receive his diploma matches the photos of the dead gunman. In the video we see a thin, pale, short youth. He walks unconfidently. Not that there's anything wrong with that; life for a male is about growing into some measure of self-confidence and responsibility, and not everyone's "gotten there" yet at 18.

At a glance, Thomas Crooks was a "nerd." Perhaps he was bullied. Perhaps he never had true friends, never had mutually-supportive friendships of an "unironic" sort. This is to say nothing of romantic relationships with girls. Perhaps Thomas Crooks came to hate life, and saw little point to it all. This is the story of a lot of these kinds of shooters, of course. But maybe he'd never have worked himself up to this if he'd had even one true friend.

Possible structural causes to this thing: Atomization. Anti-White-Male bias (even though a Leftist, presumably, Thomas Crooks will have sensed, well enough, even if subconsciously in a way, that White-males are not really "wanted"; so despite his science-and-math interests and skills, what was the point?). Social isolation: And social isolation during some of the most-important years of all of one's life, his mid-teens. The major disruptions of the Corona-Panic and the lockdowns and "remote learning" may have pushed him over an edge.

Thomas Crooks (to look at him) may well have already struggled with friendships and connecting to people. But then the Corona-Panic came down, and powerful people demanded that he stay locked in a room for two years. He lost the latter one-third or so of his 10th-grade year and all of his 11th-grade year to the Corona-Panic. The disruptions certainly continued in his 12th grade high-school (2021-22). The Biden "winter of mass-death" speech was mid-way along in Thomas Crooks' senior year in high school.

Thomas Crooks would've been about age 11 when Trump started his first campaign in 2015. Trump launched his campaign around the time Thomas Crooks finished 5th-grade. All through middle-school and high-school he was around anti-Trump hate-propaganda, and then had two years locked in a room during the Corona-Panic to think it all over. The galvanizing "BLM" riots of mid-2020 were around the end of his 10th-grade high-school year.
