Note: Correction and clarification coming tomorrow. The one guy (black jacket/white pants) was more involved, as can be seen in other footage, which changes the story significantly. IMO, it doesn't change my overall point on the Establishment having taken aim at the Germans rather than on the enemies of the Germans.
Also, thanks to Adam Smith, this Bitchute-hosted (on the ASN network) same clip should play. I will insert the other angles in the correction post. This one is not fake, but it misses one important part of the action.
This is a couple-of-days-old story. I gotta say that Steve Sailer's post title on this one is most excellent: Victims Subdue Islamist Knife Terrorist Until Cops Liberate Him. You’ll Never Guess What Happens Next! That's a parody of the ubiquitous clickbait headlines one would see on yahoo.com and often The Gateway Pundit*.
The image above shows the moment that Afghan invader Sulaiman -
What is clear is that a group of far-
(Sorry about the video. I didn't see that coming. You'll have to go to the youtube, but no sign-in is required - it wasn't for me just now, at least.)
Do any readers remember the fun kid's game called Rock/Paper/Scissors? I always liked that one, even as an adult. Winning takes more than just luck, as you can only come out ahead by using Psychology. ("What's the other guy thinking?" "What does he think I'm gonna do next?") This happening in Mannheim was a quick game of Rock/Paper/Scissors played to the death. Let me explain.
In the grand scheme of Wokeness, all around the Western World, White people, especially White men are to be treated by the Establishment as the underprivileged. That is, they deserve no privileges. Others, especially including foreign
At the same time, White men are the bedrock of Western society. Scum like this Sulaiman assassin would not be coming there/here without White men having built the places, because they'd have been just like their homelands. Yet The Establishment supports them. White men are the rock, and The Establishment is the paper that covers rock. Who are the scissors? That's an easy one.
Let's get down to the level of this action video clip. The German cops were probably near at hand, at this location in Mannheim, due to Michael Stürzenberger and his group being considered the far-right, Enemies of the State. That sounds backwards after my definition below****, but remember that the German Establishment does not care about the existence of Germany, at least one populated with Germans. That'd only hamper their ability to control everything. No, this group, even with a small peaceful protest or rally is the enemy of The Establishment, and these cops are an enforcement arm of the latter.
So, naturally, when a bearded Moslem guy is running amok stabbing men of this peaceful group with a large knife, as a cop, by instinct, you go for the dangerous guys, meaning the blue-windbreaker-donned White men. After all, they're the Enemy of the State. (The guy with the knife is just a Newcomer.) Already injured, a couple of the White guys had been helping to control, neutralize, or at least keep themselves away from the Moslem assassin. Rock beats scissors, after all, though in the kid's game, I never pictured that working very well. You can bash the scissors, but it takes a lot to get them to not work.
Back to Mannheim, again, a few of the men of the peaceful protest group had already been wounded by this Newcomer and at least had him on the ground. There is the one guy with a black jacket/white pants in there involved, too, but, no matter, the one cop ended up on top of (one of) the wounded White man protesters. Even if this cop didn't mean to bring him to the ground, he stayed on top of him. Was he protecting him? Bull. No. The White man was being detained... giving the Moslem assassin a chance to get up.
So, rock was in the processing of giving a proper beating to scissors, but then paper does beat rock. (Having a badge helps.) However, who knew there was going to be one more round? Yeah, scissors broke loose due to the stupidity of the cops, and the one cop, Officer Rouven L., who wrapped himself around the White rock, got beat by scissors, actually a big knife. He has since died.
The irony and resemblance of Rock/Paper/Scissors can be cut with... a knife ... Still, I really can't laugh about it, with the likely decent White German Rouven L. dead at 29 years old. As for the big picture, that's different. With the intention of enforcing Anarcho-Tyranny the enforcement arm of the German Establishment took a hit from the (other) REAL enemy of the German people instead. Will they learn anything? Will they realize they are working for the wrong side? Officer L. might have known that for a while, as he didn't die till 2 days later.*****
Thirty officers of the Mannheim police have called in sick, possibly in protest against a German political leadership that refuses to address the dangers of radical Islam. Two dozen of the officer’s colleagues paid tribute to their fallen comrade, removing their hats during a gathering Sunday at the site of the attack, The Independent reported.I guess they've learned something, but German patriots like Michael Stürzenberger are still being persecuted. Taking one's hats off won't cut it. Oh, and the German left protested against the memorial services. The Moslem Sulaiman was shot by one of the cops, but he'll make it. An Australian news site notes at the end of its report:
There was no longer any immediate danger to the public following Friday's incident, police said in a statement. That depends on what you mean by "immediate".
PS: All those women cops were pretty much useless, BTW. They never took action until the action was over.
* As per our site review, there's WAY too much of that sort of thing. I have come to know which titles to avoid now on that otherwise helpful news site. In this case, GP's 1st post on this story, by Richard Abelson, has the reasonable title German Islam Critic Michael Stürzenberger Sends Thanks from His Hospital Bed After Terrorist STABBING ATTACK. The GP has been keeping up with patriotic Germans' fight against Islam in their country for a while - see Germany: Six Months Hard Time for Criticizing Radical Islam from 1 3/4 years about about Mr/ Stürzenberger.
** See also our Addendum.
*** I've got no idea why they don't print his last name.
**** At this point, it's very clear that the term "far right" is used for people in any Western society who believe in keeping their nation intact. It's not bad to be far-right then. You're a traiter if you're not.
***** He had been medically put into a coma... to keep his organs for someone... might be a needy Newcomer ...

[UPDATED 06/06:] Though I've corrected a lot in a subsequent post, I struck out the direct responsibility for this Moslem being in Germany belonging to Herr Merkel. Thanks for the correction, Mr. Hail. I'd assumed, due to this guy's young age (25).

PS: Thank you for all the comments, video clips, and memes, guys! (I did see your various versions, Mr. Hail, once I went through the iSteve thread.
I will take some of this data for use in the next (correction) post.
In the meantime, just as a quick reply to J1234 and Mr. Hail, on visits to Germany. I did get to Heidelberg too, but only for 1 day and night, on a trip through Germany in that late 1980s. I went through many cities from the north to the south. (Air travel was into and out of Frankfurt am Main, not Oder.)
Then, I was in one location in Germany for quite a while over 2 decades later. Though my memories from the 1st trip are somewhat hazy, and more importantly, the immigration invasion to the West was not in my mind at all then, I can remember a big difference. In fact, on the more (but not exactly) recent trip, I remember all this Moslem food - that sliced meat off a conical chunk on a vertical stick (I'm very sure there's a more compact term, haha) and Moslems all over the streets - this was very close to the former East, only a decade after it WAS in the East Bloc. Yeah, I found some Wiener Schnitzel too - not impressed, but that was probably because it was from a street vendor.
Yes, the Germans brought the Turks in for cheap labor way, way back - was it the 1950s, even? Of course they stayed - guest worker, my ass.
I'd say that Merkel's invitation that brought something like a million, mostly young men, into Germany, based on the story of that poor dead kid on the beach (his Dad's fault for undertaking that journey across the Med.) was a hell of a boost in the stupidity. No doubt it could not have happened if German society had not been prepped to either agree or not deign to oppose such a program for many years beforehand.
I had been lazy and not looked up this Moslem assassin, Mr. Hail, so thanks for that correction.

Sulaiman Ataee, 25,who was born in Herat, Afghanistan, arrived in Germany aged 14, where he settled in a youth residential group in the state of Hesse. His application for asylum was rejected, but due to his young age, authorities chose not to deport him.

I don't know much about German politics, society or culture, Mr. Hail, but it seems to me that while Miss Merkel does indeed (rightfully) deserve much blame for the migrant situation in Germany today it is fair to say that she alone did not create the mess. (For example, I would imagine that she alone did not prevent the deportation of Sulaiman Ataee when his application for asylum was rejected. As you say, it's ideological and bigger than Merkel.)

So, I looked at the exif data embedded in the "blue shirt" versions of the Foxford graphic you uploaded to your website and linked to in your comments here. Interestingly, the black bar version still includes data that indicates that I used GIMP to do the editing. (Which is true.) This leads me to believe that you extracted the image from either rumble or bitchute and didn't take a screen shot. I don't know what sort of graphics editor you used to remove the black bars, but your second graphic does not include all the same exif data.
Just for fun, this is exif data included in the two files.

Not that it matters, but I took the original graphics I created this morning (.jpg & .png) and I made a couple quick edits to the exif data...

Basically, I stripped out all the unnecessary exif data and added an Artist field that reads "Artist: Adam Smith ☮". Sometimes it will show up when you right click and check out the image properties. As I said, it really doesn't matter, it's just a thing I do sometimes. (And I know Achmed finds some of this stuff amusing.)

Pretty wild how google censors, and/or shadowbans, certain things due to their ideology.
I find it interesting that Yandex (apparently) does not.
Anyway...
I hope you have a great evening, Mr. Hail!

-- The Merkel Question, revisited --
"Afghan invader Sulaiman - his presence a result of Merkel's Million Migrants Programme - stabbed German policeman Rouven L."
The question of Merkel's personal responsibility is in no way "open and shut" for the problem, her presiding over a surge notwithstanding.
This "Sulaiman" case is a good example of why it's more complicated. Because he arrived in 2013, some two years before the Merkel Wave. (She signaled "There is no limit to the number of Muslim Migrants we shall accept, as long as there are Muslims in need, we're open for business," but that was around Sept 1, 2015).
The former VDare journalist Nicholas Stix , who is pro-German, personally blames Merkel and pushed back on me when I said Merkel had just "gotten addicted to the propaganda of the system" rather than personally created the problem. It's worth asking which view is more right. In any case, Merkel WAS the chancellor in 2013, as well.
This is the relevant comment (see also Nicholas Stix's reply):
https://www.unz.com/isteve/victims-subdue-islamist-knife-terrorist-until-cops-liberate-him-youll-never-guess-what-happens-next/#comment-6595680
Nicholas Stix tells us he was in Germany as a young man in the period 1980-85. I was there in somewhat similar circumstances twenty-some years later. I get the feeling that his early-1980s memories of West Germany were of a society that basically didn't really have a severe "Migrants and Wokeness" rock-and-hard-place dilemma going on. Not that there was zero problem, or seeds of serious problems, but it was too small to worry about. Life was good, in many ways.
By the decade of the 2000s, the problem WAS, more or less, visible to those approaching the society from afar. Plenty of locals, raised within the system and such, were of course willfully blind. But no outsider in the position of someone like Nicholas Stix ca. 1980 could miss it.
The Germany of the 2000s, for all its ups and downs, I noticed had a huge political dark cloud over it that augured nothing good. It still could get worse, of course, as it did get worse in the 2010s. But the 2010s were product of the 1990s and 2000s, and Germany's horrible, toxic, mandatory self-hatred politics -- ultimately a product of 1945, and of Germany's status as a "semi-sovereign" U.S. satellite and a pawn also to Soviet/Russian interests (the myth of German evil is used cynically by Russia to this day for all purposes).
Merkel did not, herself, create this trajectory. She was there along for the ride, for a bit over two decades or so, near or at the nominal top of power in the country. The CDU of course moved towards the Woke-Left in that time. Maybe she could be blamed for that. But the refugee system and the ideological superstructure facilitating it? That is something else.
It's been pointed out often that the "far-right" AfD of ca. 2020 is, on the main, a party that resembles the CDU of ca. 2000. A campaign of saturation-propaganda by the government against the AfD has helped erode their support, scaring off one-quarter to one-third of their supporters from a one-time peak nearing 25% early this year.
When the AfD emerged in late 2015 to early 2016, into a serious power-contender, a skillful CDU leader could have deflated the balloon with moving towards a pro-German, pro-White implicitly nationalistic kind of position, such as what the demagogic Bavarian politician Marcus Soeder sought to do at the time (he later morphed into a pro-Lockdown maniac, as I recall), but he was vetoed by Merkel. She could be blamed in that sense.
Talking this through, Merkel could also have repatriated "Sulaiman" back to Afghanistan at any time between arrival in 2013 at about age fifteen, and when she left office. She didn't. In that sense she could be blamed. Likewise, the current chancellor, Scholz, could have done it. But there is a sluggishness to the system. They don't want to send back Holy Refugees, Muslims. It's ideological and bigger than Merkel.
Who was responsible for those people who turned out by the thousands in 2015-16 with "Refugees Welcome" banners? Those weren't people personally paid off by Merkel. They were born-and-raised products of an ideological system, the very same one of which Merkel was an earlier product. The only 'catch' is that Merkel was raised in East Germany, which people like to point to. I tend to think this matters more than meets the eye.

PS-
I was in Mannheim about a week and a half ago. I saw no such action, but did witness a bit of vibrancy in the local population. Much more pleasant and memorable was our excursion to Heidelberg a few miles away (a cool castle and great eateries.) To be honest, Mannheim was the least memorable part of our trip. Our tour director probably wanted to keep us from seeing immigrant related nonsense like this.
For all of the leftist presence in Germany today, there are a lot of people who remember (with great disdain and ill will) the communist oppression in east Germany and surrounding countries. That was my impression, anyway.

PS: Good morning, everyone!
New (Ed Case) video for your post, Mr. Moderator.
(I fixed the Foxford thumbnail graphic for Dieter and also for accuracy. I thought about using the Palmgren graphic, but I prefer the Foxford soyjack meme. If I were slightly more ambitious I would have fixed blue jacket guy's sleeves instead of leaving his bare arms, but this is close enough. The swasticker and the red shirt had to go. I probably should have changed the color of blue jacket guy's pants too, but whatever. I'm still sleepy eyed and I've already uploaded the videos.)

From reading before posting, I did know that this guy Dieter says is some security guy and Tae Kwon Do expert (white pants/black jacket) was involved. I am wrong in that the cops didn't directly let the Moslem assassin get up. However, the cop who was killed spent the time to restrain the blue-jacketed guy (after rightly pushing him off the action due to his beating on that wrong, security guy) did not focus on the actual threat. I shouldn't 2nd-guess that he was foolish, I suppose. Perhaps he figured the rest of his team - I mean there were a lot of them! - would take care of the threat while he restrained this guy who'd been far from helpful (by accident). This unfortunate didn't work out.
Yes, I did know the guy who shot and killed the assassin was Moslem too.
OK, let me put this stuff in another post tonight. Right now, the best video is the one in the Ed Case comment, but, as usual, I could use some help ... hint, hint ... Adam Smith....
I'll get back to writing this afternoon - going to be busy. There are 5 other posts ready also.

Steve Sailer has declared his first post wrong!, Mod. and I he is right. - Steve's nice headline is wrong too.
The policeman did not free the muslim, as it seemed on the first video, but he fought a security man from the Stürzenberger team, who - in complete confusion, attacked a very well trained man who had wwrestled the attacker down already.
To make thinks a bit more confusing: This very well trained man, who wrestled down the very well trained muslim attacker - a Taek-Won-Do fighter from nearby super-scenic Heppenheim, mind you - this super-wrestler is by a very high chance, a man of the German secret service, which most likely saved Stürzenberger's life, whereas Stürzenberger's amateur-security man caused the death of the policeman by freeing actually - the muslim attacker.
At Steve Sailer I have posted a second video by a Bavarian amateur-expert who had it wrong the first time but did an excellent job in his second vid.
The only policeman who - successfully! - shot at the musllim attacker - out of ten or so cops! - - is a muslim.
Next complication: Some analysts accuse the shooter to have shot too late at the attacker, but careful in-detail slow-mo!-analysis shows that he could not have shot earlier, because the video-filmer of Stürzenberger (!) was in the way.
Stürzenberger is a quite bright sperg who lost a friend to muslim terrotists many years ago and is since then on a fiery mission trying to explain to the public by personal speeches on market places etc. - how dangerous the Islam is.
He had been attacked and wounded before. The secret service thinks of him as a major threat to our public safety and watches over Stürzenberger's actions. They do not watch much over hte actions of radical muslims because, as they declared publicly: There are too many of them and the secret service's personal ressources 'd be too limited for this task.
