Peak Stupidity Four Year remembrance of the Floyd Fentanyl Fest

Has it really been 4 years already? Such an important event it was, on that May 25th afternoon in the Minneapolis hood in the Year of Our Lord 2020 Year of Our Floyd 0, as Floyd, the violent, reprobate druggie martyr bit the dust after ingesting too much Fentanyl. Americans learned about themselves. Riots raged, fires were set, and swag was stolen, all to teach White Americans that we were evil racists. People all around the world agreed. George the Martyr had shown us the way...

No, really we learned how the drug overdose death of some stupid violent black asshole, who just couldn't stop running his mouth and freaking out long enough to even have sense talked into him, could be made into a completely different story. We learned how contradicting on-the-scene video could be purged, the narrative could be controlled, and people could be cowed into supporting this fake narrative, all over the country and around the world.

If George Floyd had finally calmed down and gotten all the way into the cop car or the ambulance drivers or dispatcher hadn't been incompetent that day 4 years back, those who benefit from the destruction of America would have had to find another event to start on another day. As it went, as sick as it is, George Floyd is as famous as George Washington now. As Floyds go, other than Floyd the barber on Andy Griffith, I think of Pink when "Floyd" is mentioned.

Peak Stupidity has posted some of this band's music in the past. I know this song, off of Pink Floyd's 51 y/o Dark Side of the Moon*, has not been one of them. Enjoy Us and Them:

Out of the way - it's a busy day.
I've got things on my mind.
For want of an EMT and a real twenty
the old man died.
... good riddance!

Hmmm, I wonder why there's so little diversity in that old official Floyd video. Something should be done.

That 2 hour long video on economics will appear finally next week. There's an immigration story, among all the rest of the damage, that you don't read about much, to be discussed. We'll have short book review coming, if that's even possible here. More humor will come along with it all. Thanks for reading and commenting, Peakers. We hope you enjoy the rest of your hopefully long weekend.

* This one was famous for being on the top 100 album charts for years running.

PS: Good morning, Mr. Moderator!

Lol... Yeah, I wish I could buy some silver at $4/oz.
(It's been a while since I could do that.)

That would be sweet. If that were the case, I might be a little less worried about my paper dollars losing their purchasing power. (Wouldn't it be great if the fiat currency slowly gained value. If everything would generally cost a little less next year. The price of houses went down a little because of the strength of the dollar. And packages at the store got a little bigger. The opposite of shrinkflation.)

I guess the economy would have to be designed a little different. Not like a ponzi scheme that depends on perpetual population growth. That would be nice.

I locked in at $32.63/oz. for the kangaroos and $31.88 for the maple leafs the month before. Right now we're looking at $35.79 ($38.56 at APMEX) for the maple leafs and $36.33 ($39.62 at APMEX) for the kangaroos. (Of course, these current prices will fluctuate though the day.)

There is this, which seems to be the best deal right now...

But you can only buy one ounce.

PS: A day and a half later, I read through this thread and realized I sounded like an idiot. I took the period after "oz" in the following by Adam Smith, "They both came in about $4/oz. less than APMEX." as a comma, as in "They both came in at $4/oz, which was less than APMEX". Indeed, it would be!

Sorry about my confusion, guys.

PS: Mr. Smith, I am NO kind of artist. What I'd like to get - and a friend of mine can draw cartoons, so I'll ask him - is a drawing of Barney Fife (of "The Andy Griffith Show", yeah, before your time) kneeling on the back of Floyd the barber. I'm pretty sure I can do a good job making the bubbles for the statements by Floyd and Barn. ;-}

PS: Thanks for writing in, Mark G.! I remember you from such websites as unz.com/isteve. Yes, I would say the atmosphere that made this Floyd madness possible was started years before. I was just reading over Mr. Sailer's book, the chapters on Obama, though it's stuff I had read before. He notes that Obama telegraphed (one might say) that his 2nd term was when he was going to show his true Blackety-Black colors and forget his White half and trying to please the SWPL folks.

PS: Adam and Mark, sorry for the late replies.

I assume that was a typo and you meant $40/oz, Adam. Otherwise you should DEFINITELY drill some. holes, haha! I also figured maybe you meant the "premium", the mark-up over spot price was 4 bucks an oz., not really too bad at all there either. (I've seen it lower than that, but, for example, during the Kung Flu PanicFest, when the spot price was $11, the mark-up I saw was 100% or more, i.e., the $11 wasn't any kind of real price for physical silver.)

I['m glad you have good neighbors too. It's good if the companies don't put so much info on the outside of the package either.

Tungsten has a similar density as gold - that's why one reads about bars being faked with mostly tungsten on the inside. That way, the problem won't be obvious from the weight alone. There are spectrographs or some manner of machine that can help too, though I've never partaken.

PS I have always thought that the Floyd affair had its origins with Obama. It was Obama who encouraged the idea that people like Trayvon Martin or Michael Brown were victims. Floyd was just a continuation of that.

PS: Greetings, Achmed!

Happy weekend to you...

I like that the George Floyd, PBUH, coin has the wrong date on it. (Keepin' it classy...)

https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256806316801425.html

Yeah, I don't know what it's filled with (Maybe it's tungsten? Maybe it's steel? Is there a cheaper metal than steel? Can you put gold or silver plating on top of plastic*?) but it isn't silver or gold.

(I read the description. It says it is made of iron.)

------------

* Apparently, yes.
https://www.sharrettsplating.com/blog/what-do-you-know-about-plating-on-plastics/

------------

Seems apropos that it is essentially counterfeit.
(But what can you really expect at 81 cents a coin?)

If I were less lazy I would photoshop the Floyd coin into a 4 year sober Floyd coin.
(Somehow it just doesn't seem worth the effort.)

In other, non-counterfeit news, my Aussie silver arrived the other day. I didn't drill any holes in it nor did I melt it down to check the metal content but it seems legit.

These are the two places that I've ordered from recently...

https://bullionexchanges.com/
https://www.bgasc.com/

They both came in about $4/oz. less than APMEX.

Bullion Exchanges shipped with FedEx and required a signature, which I kind of preferred. BGASC shipped using the post office and just dropped the package in the mail box. It worked out fine, but it was a little weird having a small, $800 package dropped in the mail box like that. (Weird because sometimes the post office will deliver my packages to the neighbors house. On more than one occasion I've had to go looking for my package(s) when the tracker tells me it has been delivered but it is not in the mail box or on the porch. Fortunately, we have good neighbors.)

Cheers to a wonderful rest o' the weekend! ☮️

PS: Yes, Mr. Floyd successfully completed STEP 1 of his 12-step program, undertaken under the umbrella organization WTA (Worthless Thugs Anonymous). The 1st step is always the hardest. Wait, or was that step 2 he completed 4 years back. Step 1 was admitting that "you can't breath".

I liked that gold coin from your 1st link! I didn't see 0.999 on it - maybe it's counterfeit, filled with tungsten...

PS

I wnder if anyone has done a Mayberry RFD parody, where Deputy Barney Fife drags Floyd the Barber out of his car and kneels on his neck/shoulder/whatever.

Happy Sunday, Peakers. 😊
