Peak Stupidity mentioned the coming of the 2020 enumeration of the people of the United States in a recent post. Yeah, we have no problem with this on the face of it, per Article I, Section 2 of the US Constitution, though the following tells me to go online and do it. My first reaction: Fuck that! The Feral Gov't is well aware of that attitude, as per:

The actual Enumeration shall be made within three Years after the first Meeting of the Congress of the United States, and within every subsequent Term of ten Years, in such Manner as they shall by Law direct."in such Manner" could include on-line, and I am a firm believer that "bearing arms" includes AR-15s and "speech" includes Peak Stupidity posts, so it's reasonable, I suppose. I'm just the first to think that logging in and doing this will be a pain in the ass.
The Census Bureau is kind enough to back this up with a paper form in the mail (another Constitutionally-approved idea*) , so I'll do it that way. I am tempted to just wait until a guy comes to the house again, as it's nice to give a government guy a piece of one's mind. They kind of have to stand there and take it - I like that.
I'll tell you what, though. This new financial jiggering with not only the FED funds rate, but also the suspension of interest payments has come at a bad time for me. I did up the tax numbers on the back-o-the-envelope, and though I'd thought I might have a little coming back, I will still owe a couple of thousand! I am not happy right now. If this financial moral hazard with the student loan payments and crap keeps up, my attitude may change for the worse. That couple of thousand may take the rest of the year to make it to Washington, FS. You discourage responsibility, you assholes, and the responsible become discouraged!
Even though this census is the most benign thing out of the Washington, Federal Shithole one has to deal with nowadays, I may cause some trouble there too, as these people are really pissing me off now.
* Go to same link - Article 1, Section 8, Clause 7.

PS I did mine online, and it really was quick and easy. Probably quicker than filling out the form, if you count the time looking for a pen, putting the thing in the envelope, and walking it to a mailbox.
