A little trial and error are necessary to see which characters work best as some of them look a little goofy.

Also, some of these might not display properly in different browsers and on different operating systems. I'm just going by what it looks like on my computer. Not sure if these display properly on everyone's computer.(?)

About the point here, I don't agree that the numbers prove the article correct in wording. Think about simple absolute numbers. Were these illegals - any number - go back to 1974 - not here now, there would be fewer murders. At least SOME of them kill peopl,e.

Oh, yeah, I know, with that assumption (that depends greatly on whether you're talking Indians, Chinese, or Salvadorans) that I'm not so sure of - read differently (at least for ILLEGAL immigration) on VDare - the overall murder rate could be lower. However, would not the murder rate be at least the same, maybe higher, of the previously existing population?

There's more than that though. Even with their propensity to violence greater than that of average White people, the Hispanics of the '70's and '80s mostly out of Mexico were one thing. These last 8-10 million are often the dregs of the countries they come from. It's a 2-order-of-magnitude larger Cuban Mariel Boat Lift.* We're gonna see some big numbers of murder, rape, and other violence. Will that increase the RATES of these crimes in America? I think yes. Even it it doesn't, so what? There will be more murders, rapes, etc. As with the poor late Miss Riley in Georgia, they would not be murdered, raped, etc., were the borders strictly controlled. She is dead because of Biden and Mayorkas. Were I her Dad ... I'll leave it at that...

PS: Dieter, that your words were cut off is perplexing, unless you had characters resembling HTML tags. The "system", as it were, is actually nothing but a line of code that strips out those tags, maybe taking out the rest of the line as it does so. (I haven't looked at it in years - I mean like 7 years!!)

It sure doesn't care WHAT you write though. This is simple and doesn't rely on any 3rd party anything. Of course, it's not so great, without links - Adam has shown us how to italicize, do bolding, and other stuff.

I will add that when you see these stories, not only have these men (not always men, though, per recent story of some Aztec woman who cut people's hearts out from GP - can't find it just now) been "on the FBI's radar" and all you say, many have been deported multiple times before.

A serious border barrier, "wall" if you will, is not the only thing required to stop this invasion, but it's a necessary component. People who get deported, STAY deported.

The thing is, that - as Dr. Pinker tirelessly points out, serious crime is in decline.
The argument is therefor factually right: These are individual cases and they don't change much the overall trend of sharply declining murder rates in any statistically meaningful way.

So this is the cool number-guys' perspective. - But this is not the whole story. The whole story is that such cases feel scary/not right even though we know that they don't matter much statistically. They alert us to be cautious: they evocate phantasies and fears that are usually hidden because we have to go on in our daily lives, - no matter what the TV brings up about some far away college campus.

Media's reporting on heinous crimes by illegals has been typically abysmal. People we once called "journalists" are now used to mouthing nothing but platitudes and "narratives," especially narratives that hide the identity/origin of their favorite minorities or illegals. Their "no information" articles usually note that "he was on FBI's radar" or "he was known to law enforcement", with little information of worth as they laboriously protect the killer. These so called 'journalists' have long forgotten how to report facts on important stories. "Journalists" struggle to blame everything and everyone except the killer - it's 'gun violence' or 'institutional racism' or whatever - in the case of the UGA killer, 'it's the campus trails that are the problem. Fix the trails, and we're good.' Predictably, corrupt mainstream media protect the killers and we know why. You can't get the "news" from news organizations any more. Imagine that. And the gatekeepers roll out their carefully coordinated narratives every morning, as seen on the alphabet soup media outlets who direct the narrative as their gatekeeper demands. Media outlets long ago stopped reporting real news and are all now in the business of managing narratives.
