More distraction and a variant of the old Overton Briar Patch trick

Don't fall for it this, or any other, month!

A year and a half ago Peak Stupidity proclaimed the Russian/Ukraine War another piece of Infotainment for Americans, though we admitted later we we were wrong about it being nothing but that. Still, it was a distraction and a big pivot away from the actual Big Story of the time. See, we can barely recall it. That was the world's people, but most acutely, the Canadians', revolt agains the tyranny of mandatory gene therapy/vaccines.

Let's move on to right now. I won't chalk Hamas' timing of its attack up to a purposeful part of any such plan by the Lyin' Press, but this latest conflagration in the Middle East is sufficing as a great distraction from another, more-continuous Big Story for Americans, the Bai Dien Border treachery. It's more than Zhou Bai Dien, of course, his pupptetmasters and underlings, such as Motherland Security's Alejandro (that'd be Alex, in English) Mayorkas. Yes, all eyes are on Gaza, Israel, and the ME in general while the invasion of the US from the south is in full swing now.

Besides the suddenly-noticed blatant convergence of stupidities that is just one of many actually-long-term ill effects of open borders, the Bai Dien administration also threw a bone to held a football for the Charlie Brown punters of America. That was the obviously futile gesture of stating an intention to build a piece of wall on 1.5% of the southern border around 250 miles away from the invasion. It's obviously futile when it comes to stopping the invasion but not futile at all when it comes to stopping the growing scrutiny by Americans. (Especially, that would be Texans who are at the current invasion fronts.)

Then, while searching for information and images on this little piece of wall, I came across a number of sob story articles. I would like to tell those open borders useful idiots to stop all of your sobbing, because this is not a part of any serious steps necessary to save the nation. What this media BS is, is a variation on what Peak Stupidity has dubbed the Overton Briar Patch*. From the explanation post:
Some of the ctrl-left with what we may think of as having, or have thought of as having Trump/Bush/Bush/Reagan Derangement Syndrome may really be outraged, but these are the most deluded psychotic sickos. I believe most of them just act like they think said office holders (I include notable Senators and Congressmen too) are actually Conservative. Why come up with these huge exaggerations of the supposed Conservatism of these politicians? It's a tactic of theirs that works very well .

The effect of this tactic is to get Conservatives to actually believe "their" high-office holder is working hard, doing the right thing for them. "If they hate him so much, he MUST be doing a great job!" Well, that can be true, but not if that hate is based on exaggeration, lies, or plain insanity.
As an example, we gave the reader George W. Bush - this is the conclusion:
“Drown me just as deep as you please, Br'er Fox,” said Br'er Rabbit, “but for Lord’s sake, don’t fling me in that briar patch.” American Conservatives get fooled by: "Please, Conservative voters, close the southern border as tight as you please, but for Lord's sake, don't elect the far-right-winger George Bush!"
We've got a variation here with the ctrl-left in charge. "Ruin this nation as much as you please. For Lord's sake, Zhou Bai Dien, please dont' harm the poor invaders migrants with 30 mile of fencing!"

We are to believe that this is a step in the right direction because the ctrl-left are hurt and angry, telling sob stories over the Lyin' Press. Don't fall for this crap, patriots. I explained what this was about in that previous post. Secondly, though it was the first part of this post, please keep you eyes on the ball - we're talking in baseball metaphors now - that Middle East turmoil is not nothing, but unless the nukes get across the pond, it's not the existential issue of this nation that the immigration invasion is.

* Note that "Overton" is just there for the continuity, as "-gate" is still a half-century later for political scandals. Robert Overton was a great guy though, from what I've read - see the post linked to.

Yep, all for the sake of the upcoming election (i.e. making hyper-leftists in the current administration seem more "moderate" to independent voters.) Biden is such an awful and unappealing incumbent candidate that temporarily alienating his radicalized base is seen as necessary. And alienating their radicalized base isn't something that the left takes lightly.

The other thing that the left and Biden are doing before the election (for the same reason): Ignoring police shootings of unarmed black men. There have been several over the last year. The reaction? Crickets. Yes, most of them deserved to be shot, but when did that ever stop the left from rioting? Billion dollar "fire-y but mostly peaceful" George Floyd parties are NOT what they want going into the election (or after the election, if Biden should win.)

PS This is being done for Normie and Dem mayors in NY, Chicago, and LA. Because even Normie was beginning to become concerned about the scale of the invasion. Totally Legit Joe can afford to p*ss off the Left a bit, because they have nowhere else to go. But he needs to calm Normie down. And he has to quieten the mayors down, because they’re getting headlines (or the digital equivalent thereof), which rile Normie. It’s not a matter of Joe and his handlers (or whoever the Dem candidate turns out to be) becoming frightened about 2024. 2024 will be fortified. But fortification, when it becomes obvious, is a bad look. They need to keep the need for fortification within limits. So throw some oil on the waters and keep things quiet until after the election.

"Hamas' timing of its attack..." "all eyes are on Gaza, Israel, and the ME in general while the invasion of the US from the south is in full swing now."

Another coincidental alignment is that Steve Sailer was invited on The Charlie Kirk Show, and there is a less-than-convincing conspiracy-theory behind the reason why:

PS: "A wall that has no border patrol will slow things down, but not stop them." Yes, no doubt, M. It's not about money about actually WANTING to control the border. A two-fence barrier with no-man's land in the middle, loads of cameras, well-equipped guard tower/shacks every mile of so - it's still cheaper than building interstate highway.

I've got two old posts on this, M:

"Border control vs. the interstate highway system"

and

"Border control maintenance vs. defending some Koreans from other Koreans"

You need to cover most of the 1,900 miles - some is impassible. I could easily be done. Bai Dien not only doesn't want to, but his measly show of it is obviously worthless.

PS
A wall that has no border patrol will slow things down, but not stop them.

Build the wall (across *all* parts that are easy to cross), but you also need people stopping and arresting anyone climbing it - and then deporting them in double-quick time.

I've never been in the military, but I did read that a minefield not covered by fire is just a delay. Troops will cross eventually.
